Our client had a list of repair work from last season that needed to be carried out. We were asked to propose a fixed-price solution for part of the work and a daily rate solution for the cleaning work.
Along the way, our client requested wall thickness measurements and solutions for debris removal. Our ship Navicula Star was deployed with three ROV systems from Vriezoo ROV Services. Together with the three-person ROV team and the five-person ship's crew, we set to work in the wind farm off the coast of IJmuiden. Along the way, we encountered weather-related delays, which we used for maintenance and other projects in the Netherlands. After a two-week break, we resumed our work and completed the project without incident, well within budget and ahead of schedule.
